VOLUNTEERS from the Rotary Club of Crediton Boniface collected donations from members of the public at Crediton Morrisons store on Friday and Saturday, September 15 and 16 for ShelterBox to send aid to Morocco.
The country recently suffered from a serious earthquake and the Rotary Club of Crediton Boniface was thrilled to raise £429.32 in donations from generous shoppers.
Rotarian Sheila Ralph explained: "Rotary will add another £900.68 from its Benevolent Fund which means £1,330 will be sent to ShelterBox which, we are delighted to say, will be enough for two full boxes to be sent to the emergency areas."
She added: "Crediton Boniface Rotary would like to thank those people who gave so generously to our appeal, to the ‘Crediton Courier’ for publicity and to Crediton Morrisons for allowing us to collect at the store at short notice.”
