A CREDITON man wrote to Devon County Council at the beginning of March asking that a mis-placed road sign be corrected but to-date this has not happened.

Graham Chudley wrote on March 3: “Work has recently been completed at the new Lidl store in Crediton, and as part of the finishing touches a sign has been put up close to the entrance showing a roundabout ahead and giving directions to Tiverton as well as the town centre and the A377 to Barnstaple.

“However the sign has been put up the wrong way around. It needs to be turned 180 degrees.

“Can you please arrange for someone to come along and correct this as it could lead to all sorts of safety issues with people unfamiliar with the area being directed to go the wrong way and causing confusion.”

Mr Chudley attached images of the incorrectly placed sign with his email to the authority and is still hopeful that the work will be completed to place the sign the right way round.
