A CREDITON man was airlifted to hospital after being seriously injured in a three-vehicle collision involving an articulated lorry and two vans on the A386 at Sourton near Okehampton on Tuesday, December 15.
The man in his 20s was one of the van drivers and he sustained serious injuries.
He was flown by a Devon Air Ambulance to Derriford Hospital, where he is being treated for his injuries, which are not thought to be lift-threatening.
The collision occurred at 3.55pm and police have issued an appeal for information from any witnesses.
The driver of the lorry, a flatbed truck transporting a bulldozer, did not sustain any injuries.
The road was closed for around 10 hours while local officers and Alliance Roads Policing Team officers carried out a forensic investigation at the scene.
A 36-year-old man from Okehampton was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs and released under investigation pending further enquiries.
