GUEST speaker at the next meeting of Crediton Garden Club will be David Usher who will give an insight into the work of Gertrude Jekyll.
The talk is entitled “Gertrude Jekyll, Her Plants and Designs”, will cover Jekyll’s career, from her beginnings in horticulture to the designs which made her one of the most influential women in the history of British gardening.
Former Head Gardener, David Usher has an insight into Jekyll's work having worked at Hestercombe.
He helped restore her garden there and has previously spoken to us about that.
The talk will take place at Crediton Library on Tuesday, October 22, arrival at 6.45pm for a 7pm start.
Refreshments will be available.
Visitors will be welcome at £3, Crediton Garden Club annual membership is £12.
Meetings are held on the last Tuesday of each month, usually at Crediton Library.Garden visits are also arranged.
