CREDITON firefighters held a busy and successful car wash in aid of The Firefighters’ Charity on Saturday, March 29, many people taking their cars along to be washed.

The firefighters washed cars between 10am and 2pm and at times there were several queued up for washing.
Station Commander Neil Hargreaves welcomed one of his sons and a member of the public to help out alongside the fire crew.

Natalie Searle, from the charity, attended to collect the donations by card and cash payment and she said that everyone had been very generous.
Neil said afterwards: "Thank you! A huge £733.09 was raised."

The Firefighters Charity helps all serving and retired members of the UK's fire family to live healthier and happier lives and also helps their families.
