THE Crediton Courier has decorated its tree at Crediton Parish Church as part of the yearly Christmas Tree Festival.

It has been adorned with handmade mini front-page decorations, gold tinsel, gold baubles and more to mark the 50th anniversary of the newspaper.

Entry is free to the festival, which will last until Sunday, December 8. It attracts thousands of visitors and features dozens of decorated trees.

Opening times are from 11am to 6pm except Saturday, which will begin an hour earlier at 10am.

Refreshments will be served in the Boniface Centre from 10am to 4.30pm each day apart from Sunday when the cafe is open from 2pm to 4.30pm.

At 7pm on Thursday, December 5, there will be a concert in aid of Hospiscare. There will be another concert featuring the Holy Cross choir and Crediton Town Band at 7pm on Saturday, December 7.

Parking is free and there is disabled access to the church and Boniface Centre.
