Fix Auto Mid Devon, which has been repairing vehicles from its Lords Meadow Industrial Estate operation for 53 years, was awarded the Ageas Advocate to Green Parts Award in recognition for its efforts to ensure every repair is carried out to the most stringent eco-standards possible.

Directors Erika Woolacott and Dom Lamb received their award from TV favourite Alex Jones of "The One Show" in front of nearly 1,000 guests attending the British Bodyshop Awards held at the prestigious Manchester Central Convention Complex.

Commenting on the award, Erika, the granddaughter of the company’s founder Geoff Woolacott, said: “Historically, repairing vehicles wasn’t a particularly green process with the energy and products needed to complete the process. But not anymore.

"We have been striving to improve our own green credentials for some considerable time now by investing heavily in the business and implementing numerous initiatives.

"Fitting Green parts is something Ageas has been at the forefront of and it’s been a pleasure assisting them on this journey. Being recognised by the industry with this latest award really is a proud moment for us.”
