AT its meeting on Tuesday, March 19, Fred Oliver, the Vice President of Crediton Boniface Rotary Club, was delighted to present a cheque for £3,500 to John Cleverley representing ShelterBox.
The money presented was raised at a Charity auction last November and the Rotary Club would like to thank those who attended this event and helped to raise such a large sum of money.
ShelterBox is a charity supported by Rotary which provides aid at times of emergency or disasters to those who have lost their homes.
Aid might include things like tents, water filters, solar lights, tools and other useful items.
The ShelterBox Response Teams are usually one of the first organisations to reach disaster areas and the Rotary Club is privileged, with the help of local support, to be able to help them.
