MID Devon District Council is currently offering a one-hour-a-week job at one of its leisure centres.

The job is listed as Coach-Dance Instructor - Fixed Term (three months): one hour per week (Monday's 10.30am to 11.30am), salary: £19.50 per hour.

It will be based at the Exe Valley Leisure Centre in Tiverton.

The job description says: “We are currently seeking a passionate and dynamic Dance Class Instructor to join our team.

“The ideal candidate will be skilled in various dance styles and have the ability to inspire and motivate participants of all levels.

“As a Dance Class Instructor, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dance classes that promote fitness, creativity, and enjoyment. For the right candidate, this is a blank sheet of paper to bring your own style and energy to Mid Devon Leisure.

“Exercise classes are regularly monitored for improvement but will receive support from the Duty Officer for health and fitness to ensure the class is successful.

“This will be an initial 12-week fixed-term contract with the aim to progress to permanent if the class is successful.    

“All Coaches are expected to be punctual, energetic, and excellent at rapport building and to take onus on making their class successful.

“Must hold relevant dance qualifications to be considered for this post. A First Aid certificate would be advantageous but not essential.

“This position also gives you the option to cover other dance classes covering holiday, sickness, and other absence.
