A CORONATION Tea held at the Boniface Centre in Crediton to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III, was a huge success with 77 guests enjoying the event.
Guests gathered for a glass of Prosecco or elderflower presse when they arrived and took their seats.
They all joined in with singing the National Anthem and raised their glasses for the Royal Toast before enjoying a wonderful tea together.
The Coronation cake was made and decorated by a group of volunteers led by Jacki Hayes. The cake was displayed on a tablecloth which had originally been embroidered for the Coronation of George V in 1911 by Jenny Stallard’s great, great grandmother.
The room was decorated with bunting with flowers and pretty table settings and there was a gentle live musical accompaniment.
Profits from the event will go to the Parochial Church Council (PCC).
