A COACH full of people from Lapford, Crediton, Coldridge, Witheridge and Newton St Cyres thoroughly enjoyed a five-day turkey and tinsel holiday at Tenby.
Driven by Wesley Powell, of Powell’s coaches, Lapford, they were taken out sightseeing each day, including a visit to Pendine Sands, where the previous land speed records took place in the 1920’s.
Malcolm Campbell was the first person to break the World Land Speed record, in Bluebird 1 in 1924, reaching 146 miles per hour.
They also visited Neyland, Milford Haven, Carmarthen and Laugharne, the Teifi Valley and Newcastle Emlyn.
The weather was good, and everyone and a great holiday.
