JEAN Burrow organised another fabulous summer coach outing for members and friends of the Waie Inn Luncheon Club. This year it was to Bishops Lydeard and Minehead.
Their first stop was at the lovely Bishops Lydeard railway station, where they had reserved seats on the steam train to Minehead, with stops at local stations, including Watchet, Blue Anchor and Dunster.
A lovely 45-minute train ride through beautiful countryside in glorious sunshine, and the train even had a buffet car.
After arriving in Minehead everyone was able to do their own thing, take lunch, look around the shops, or walk along the promenade, and enjoy ice creams!
On the return journey, driver Jimmy Powell, gave many interesting facts on the towns and villages they passed through. Jimmy is not only an exceptional and very helpful driver, but also a tour guide with a wealth of information, wherever he takes you.
