CREDITON International Social and Cultural Organisation was started by a group of migrants in 2009 and his year it celebrates its 15th Anniversary!
Natalia Letch, one of the committee members, said: “There are a lot of things we are proud about, not the least is that our all-volunteers’ organisation survived those 15 years and is still active and running strong!
“Among our best projects are: the Advice Centre for migrants and their families (full CAB training helped us a lot); and free English Lessons in Crediton for adult learners (respect to our volunteer teachers). “The idea of sharing our cultural differences, our customs and food with the Host community was our cornerstone from the beginning.
“CISCO always took part in popular events like the Food Festival and Diversity Festival and created our own events promoting national arts, music, history and cuisine.
“We hope that our activity helps Crediton to be so special and friendly place!
“Being our 15th Anniversary we are determined to keep running strong and we want to say: ‘Thank you Crediton for becoming a safe and welcoming life changing place for all of us, and for some even the second Motherland!’”
