CREDITON Congregational Church’s annual Summer Holiday Club was a great success with about 45 children turning up each day throughout the three days.
Everyone enjoyed lots of singing, crafts and games linked to the theme “The Life of David”.
They also looked at the story of David and Goliath.
The church has been running the Holiday Club for more than 20 years, seeing it as a positive contribution to the community.
The Holiday Club, which is organised by Jess Lee, Sarah Preece, Dave Poulson and James Gregory, has been made possible by more than 30 church volunteers of all ages giving up their time to help.
This year the children also enjoyed a cooked meal each day, having jacket potatoes on the first day, hot dogs on the second and fish fingers on the final day.
Although the Holiday Club takes place each summer there are regular clubs and activities at the church during term-time which everyone is welcome to join.
