ON Friday, October 27 children aged seven and under enjoyed the event “Travel the World – Africa”.
The children learnt about the culture and explored different objects through hands-on fun activities led by Kate from Tiny Travels.
Sue Lee, Crediton Library Supervisor, said “The children had a lot of fun dressing up, playing African musical instruments, making jigsaws, building word towers, playing match the fruit and different alphabet games.
“The library was buzzing with activities.”
The event is part of a series, with “Travel the World – Asia” in the spring half-term holiday and “Travel the World – South America” in the summer half-term holiday next year.
Mid Devon District Council are kindly sponsoring these events as part of the Mid Devon Libraries Cultural Festival.
Kate said: “I set up Tiny Travels to help bring the world to children in Devon, who may not be able to travel to different countries.
“I worked with people around the world in 12 different countries to help create an authentic cultural learning experience for all children to enjoy.”
