A BADGE making workshop was held at Crediton Library as part of the Record Breakers Summer Reading Challenge.
Library Supervisor, Béatrice Coveney said: “We ran the event in conjunction with Crediton Children’s Centre in preparation of Devon County Council’s proposed sharing of the library.”
About 30 children squeezed into the library for the popular event.
The theme was “How to Be Special” and began with listening to stories; “Ten Little Finger and Ten Little Toes” by Helen Oxenbury and Elmer by David Mckee.
The children then designed and coloured small discs of paper which were then made into badges by Laurie Bridgman who is currently doing work experience at Crediton Library.
On August 18, children will be able to see some of the animals from Exmoor Zoo at 12.45pm (£2 entry fee). Booking is essential for both events.
