A LARGE noticeboard has been painted and put up at the entrance to Downes in Crediton ahead of a charity concert. 

Crediton Boniface Rotary Club and Crediton Town Band are set to hold “Proms at Downes” on Saturday, July 6 from 7.30pm in the grounds of Downes House in Crediton. 

Gates open from 6.30pm for the evening of classical music in aid of Hospiscare, which will feature Crediton Town Band with Tedburn Community Choir and soloist Megan Newbery. 

Tickets cost £10 if bought in advance from Lees Outfitters, Crediton’s Hospiscare shop and online at www.creditontownband.org.uk, or £12 on the day. 

A pasty is included in the ticket price. Attendees should take chairs with them. 

All proceeds from the event, which is being sponsored by Sandford Orchards, will go to Hospiscare’s Hospiscare at Home service in Mid Devon.
