STAGECOACH is set to make a raft of changes to bus services between Exeter and Chulmleigh through Crediton.

They will take effect from Sunday, April 20 and are listed below.

The 5.35am Monday to Friday 5C service from Exeter to Chulmleigh is to be withdrawn due to low passenger demand.

The 6.10am Monday to Friday 5C service from Exeter to Chulmleigh will be re-timed to depart later and operate directly between Copplestone and Chulmleigh.

The 6.10am Saturday 5C service from Exeter to Chulmleigh will be withdrawn due to low passenger demand.

The 6.30pm Monday to Friday 5C service from Chulmleigh to Exeter will operate directly between Chulmleigh and Copplestone.

The 4.35pm Monday to Friday 5C service from Exeter to Copplestone will be re-numbered to service 5 and operate the standard service 5 route to Crediton.

The 5.55pm Monday to Friday 5C service from Exeter to Chulmleigh will be re-timed to depart at 6.10pm, to provide a “more even spread of departures”.

The 7.27am Monday to Friday 5C service from Chulmleigh to Exeter will be re-timed to depart earlier at 7.22am.

Separately, the 5.35pm Monday to Friday and Saturday 5A service from Exeter to Okehampton will terminate at Waitrose in Okehampton instead of Market Street.

“There are many improvements to the network in both Exeter and beyond, touching many of our market towns around the county.

“We’re pleased to be working in partnership with Devon County Council to deliver these improvements through the Bus Service Improvement Plan and our DevonBus Enhanced Partnership.”
