A CAR crashed into a cottage on the A377 near Lapford north-west of Crediton on Sunday afternoon, April 21. 

The male passenger in the car was taken to hospital with suspected serious injuries, which were later deemed less serious. The male driver sustained minor injuries. 

The car and the cottage both suffered “substantial damage”, police said. 

Emergency services were called to the scene at 2.30pm and the road was closed between Lapford and Nymet Bridge.
