A COLLECTION of dozens of old photos discovered in an attic appear to show local scenes from more than 100 years ago, including the railway station at Newton St Cyres.

Help is being sought to find out where the pictures were taken, what they show and who the people in them are.

The photos appear to be negatives printed onto glass and were first discovered in a loft in Hoopern Street in Exeter in 1986.

There is a list of captions accompanying around half of the photos, but it is not certain which caption goes with which photo.

They do however suggest many of them were taken in 1920 or 1921 and show local scenes.
