A RESPONSE to the Devon County Council's recent exhibition in Crediton:

1. THEN: Devon County Council failed to provide the bypass that Crediton needs, despite having approved it, (in 1986) promised it and until now, protected its route.

2. NOW: DCC have failed to provide the correct information in both the 2008, and 2009 Exhibition. In particular, the respective merits/drawbacks of each route featured (or not featured), but also, material regarding English Heritage, the Environmental Agency, land ownership, traffic surveys, pollution monitoring, cost analysis, ecology and civil engineering matters.

3. WHEN: When will DCC recognise that a bypass is still needed; (a) to bring air quality in both Exeter Road AND the High Street, up to legally acceptable standards; (b) to save vehicle users both time and fuel and (c) to enable development sites, currently on hold due to air quality considerations, to be released.

4. NOW: Will the DCC recognise that the least they can provide, is the link between Downs mill and Creedy corner.
