CREDITON ELF Fundraising Group would like to thank its friends and supporters who attended the ELF Summer Fete at Bow on August 17.

It extends special thanks to James and Linda Steer who hosted the fete in their lovely garden at Homefield, Bow and to Jan Martin and Christine Stevens for organising the event.

The fete raised in the region of £2,500 for Exeter Leukaemia Fund.

Glenn Bearne, on behalf of the group, also extended thanks to the Cafe Club at Copplestone Methodist Church for its recent generous donation.

He also explained that there are two events in aid of the charity taking place this month.

The first being is its annual Big Breakfast at Copplestone Community Room (rear of Methodist Church, EX17 5NL) on Saturday, September 21 from 9.30am to 12.30pm.

He said: “Please join us for a very tasty treat, with our thanks in advance to Copplestone Methodist Church for once again hosting the event.”

He added: “We also have a regular Meat Bingo at Crediton Football Club on Wednesday, September 25, with doors open at 6.45pm and eyes down at 7.30pm.”

Mr Bearne said that on Saturday, November 30, John and Suzanne Lunn will be organising another of their ever popular quizzes at the Boniface Centre in Crediton for teams of up to six.

He said: “Please join us for what is always a very enjoyable evening (including a pasty supper!).

The Group’s fundraising this year will end on Wednesday, December 11 with its annual Christmas Bingo at Crediton Football Club.
