CREDITON Dairy Limited, based in the heart of the town, is celebrating a successful start to the year after a surge in demand for its protein milkshake range across Aldi stores.
Crediton Dairy Limited has supplied the supermarket with a range of milk-based drinks for the past nine years – including favourites like Aldi’s Cowbelle flavoured milks and Shuk Up milkshakes.
The dairy drinks business recently grew its partnership with the supermarket, adding a selection of new protein milkshakes as part of the range in Aldi, which have proved incredibly popular since launching in stores.
The new ProMlk drinks contain 20g of protein per serving and are available in a variety of flavours including strawberry, chocolate, and salted caramel.
The ongoing partnership with Aldi has played a major role in the business’s success over the years, not only allowing them to grow their team, but also enabling continued investment in product innovation and new equipment to adapt to changing consumer desires and meet the increasing demand.
Crediton Dairy’s site processes more than 150 million litres of milk annually, all sourced from 88 dedicated local British Dairy Farms within a 30-mile radius.
The business prides itself on having strong relationships with its farmers, offering a fair, sustainable, and competitive price for their milk.
Nick Bartlett, Commercial Director at Crediton Dairy Limited, said: “Our partnership with Aldi keeps us busy all year round, with our deal going from just four products initially to a range of 15 delicious milk drinks, spanning flavoured milks to protein milkshakes.
“We work closely with Aldi’s Buying Team, together we discuss market trends and how we can create products that shoppers will love. We’ve doubled the volume of our supply into its stores over the past five years and look forward to continuing to add greater variety to the product offering in the years to come.”
Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK, said: “Crediton Dairy has been a brilliant partner for Aldi over the past nine years and we are delighted to see how successful its latest range has proven.
“Supporting British businesses that have sustainability and community engrained in their practices is really important to us here at Aldi and it has been so exciting to watch Crediton Dairy flourish over the years. I can’t wait to see what delicious drinks they mix up next!”
Aldi has pledged to prioritise home-grown suppliers as it works towards spending an additional £3.5 billion a year with British businesses by the end of 2025.
