ONE of the UK’s most famous sportspeople, jockey Bryony Frost, is supporting LOVE Devon’s charity dinner that will raise funds for the Devon Communities Together on Friday, October 4 at the Passage House Inn, Kingsteignton.
Staunch Devonian Bryony, who is a LOVE Devon Ambassador, will be joined by Simon Weston MBE, a British Army veteran known for his charity work and recovery from severe burn injuries suffered during the Falklands War, with the evening hosted by the BBC’s David Fitzgerald.
Bryony said: “I’m chuffed to be a part of the LOVE Devon fundraising evening alongside Simon Weston. Devon is where my roots are and there is no better place where I could have had my childhood running feral!
“Every spare minute I bolt back to my family in Devon and I am delighted to be able to support such an important charity like LOVE Devon that makes a real difference to communities that need help in Devon.”
LOVE Devon is the trading and fundraising arm of Devon Communities Together, an independent charity that works with a very broad range of people, from rural and coastal communities to more urban areas, supporting them across a wide variety of areas including community buildings, isolation and loneliness, affordable housing, helping young people into employment, sport and play, health and well-being and much more.
Devon is a wonderful place to live, work and visit but there are people in the county facing real hardships and challenges. The charity supports and inspires communities to overcome challenges, make positive changes and shape their own futures.
The evening also includes a charity auction and tombola with unique lots and prizes.
The cost is £50 per head or £450 for tables of 10.
