MOTORISTS are advised that traffic jams as a result of traffic lights at Cowley, Exeter, are causing seriously long queues along the A377.

At some times this morning, Friday, March 3, traffic was queuing as far back as Newton St Cyres straight (Quickes Traditional Ltd), a stretch of 2.5 miles.

Taking to social media, some report waiting in the queues for more than one hour.

South West Water is completing works at Cowley.

Some motorists have contacted South West Water to complain about the long waiting times.

Traffic has also queued into Exeter in the other direction.

In addition, works at Copplestone, also on the A377, have been causing long delays on the other side of Crediton.
