FOLLOWING the death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, a book of condolence will open tomorrow, Tuesday, September 13, at the offices of Crediton Town Council at The Bungalow, 8 North Street, Crediton (EX17 2BT).

If you wish to sign the Book of Condolence, you can do so daily between the hours of 10am and 2pm, Monday to Friday, while the offices are open.

The Mayor of Crediton, Councillor Liz Brookes-Hocking, who was the first to sign the book has expressed her deep sadness on behalf of residents and offered sincere condolences to His Majesty The King and The Royal Family.

A second Book of Condolence can be signed in Crediton Parish Church during the church opening hours.

People can also use the church as a place of prayer for the late HM Queen Elizabeth and to pray for the reign of HM King Charles.

For those who don’t wish to attend in person, an electronic book of condolence can be signed by visiting: royal.gov.uk .

FLOWERS

For those who wish to lay flowers in remembrance of the Queen, a dedicated area has been set up in the churchyard at the west end of Crediton Parish Church where the Platinum Jubilee sapling was planted.  There is a polite request that plastic is removed prior to laying any floral tribute.
