A COLLECTION of artwork about the Second World War, many pieces with mechanical elements is at the Museum of Barnstaple and North Devon until September 16.
The collection is the work of Clive Cobb who grew up in Fulham, London during the Blitz.
There is also a film of Clive talking about and demonstrating the pieces.
Clive and his family and two daughters left London in the early 1970s to move to Lynton, then Muddiford where they ran the small store and post office, later moving to Bratton Fleming.
During this time they began the antique restoration business, specialising in painted clock dials and lacquered clock cases. Unfortunately Clive died in 2021.
Museum Manager, Alison Mills says: "This is a really wonderful collection of artwork about the Second World War and would be of interest to visitors of all ages.”
Museum opening hours are Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm and entry is free.
