ARE you a beginner to using computers and want to learn basic digital skills for today's online world?
Brian from Learn Devon is running a free four-week course at Crediton Library from 10am to 12.30pm on Wednesdays, March 8, 22 and 29 and April 5.
Those who attend will learn how to stay safe online, how to communicate online using email, Word and video communication software (Zoom).
They will also learn how to handle information and content by saving and organising files and web pages.
There will also be an opportunity to practise online transactions that will allow access goods and services (shopping, NHS, travel information).
During the course there will be an opportunity to watch demonstrations and carry out a range of practical exercises and activities to increase experience and understanding.
The course is limited to eight learners and use of the library public computers and printing is free.
Library Supervisor Sue Lee said: “I am really pleased that Learn Devon is providing this opportunity for our local community.
"Ten hours of digital skills training will be helpful in life and in gaining skills to add to a CV when looking for work.”
