THE President of Colebrooke Women’s Institute, Valerie Pennington, welcomed members to our January Meeting which was held at Horwell Barton.

Speaker for the evening was Jane Welsh who talked about basket making.

She started making baskets 25 years ago. She also runs courses in basket making.

She showed us how she makes the bases and also brought several types of basket for us to see.

Members enjoyed their meal at the New Inn at Sampford Courtenay in December.

Transport arrangements were made for members going to Dunsford Pantomine on January 17.

For our Meeting on February 11, members will be learning how to play Short Mat Bowls.

Flat shoes or slippers with no heels must be worn.

It will be in Colebrooke Parish Hall at 7.30pm. All ladies welcome.
