WHO would think that nestled in the green backdrop of Exeter that you would find this hidden gem – Avanti Hall School.
In November 2019, the school was taken over by the Avanti Schools Trust, a well-established trust that has a reputable family of schools in the Southeast, South West, and the North of the UK.
Not long after being taken over, the pandemic struck, leading to major disruption not only to Avanti Hall School but to the whole educational system.
Despite the unprecedented times faced, the school is making its mark on the educational landscape of Exeter.
The school is an “all through” school from Reception to Year 11, it is based on the beautiful, historic grounds of Thomas Hall in Exeter with its very own woods.
Its belief is that education should provide each and every child with the core skills needed to feel confident in themselves in order to achieve academic excellence.
A diverse and rich programme of study is offered that has holistic development at its core.
The school is making great headway and progress with the new senior leadership at the helm, new staff and new curriculum.
The school follows the national curriculum, which includes weekly Yoga, mindfulness as well as outdoor learning.
Teachers work closely with parents and guardians to enhance aspirations for students and ensure that all children have the support they need to thrive at every stage of their school life.
Why not see for yourselves what the school has to offer?
It has earmarked a number of Open day events aimed at Reception aged children and Year 7 children to allow prospective parents and carers to find out more about this school and its truly unique offering.
