ANDREW Bayley is celebrating the first anniversary of refurbished Crediton Post Office, since taking over from Chris Schnepp when he retired.

The Post Office is bucking the trend, where other post offices are closing Andrew has been expanding the services offered to customers in Crediton and the surrounding area.

Crediton Post Office still offers the same products and services as before, but in a more modern and convenient environment.

Since the post office was refurbished a year ago it and has been given a bright, modern look the number of customers has increased by 300 hundred a week.

Andrew explained: "Thanks to the hard work and great effort from the staff we now have nearly 2,500 customers a week at the Crediton Post Office.

"We now sell a range of stationery and have a great selection of greeting cards for all occasions in an improved and enlarged area of the premises, (prices start from £1.15).

"Our stationery selection is extensive and we have some great items which are ideal for children going back to school after the half term.

"The photo booth has also proved very popular with our customers as has the ATM machine.

"Over the past year our postal services have grown and we are networking with local businesses.

"Our Drop & Go service is available for business or personal use and the pre-paid account saves time and money, and it saves queuing.

"The travel booth offers travel money and currency, and a new multi-currency travel card will be launched in March, containing an amazing 14 currencies!"

"We currently have a limited-time offer on unlimited broadband and line rental at an all inclusive price of £20.99 per month for 18 months.

Andrew also runs a well-established Post Office at Holsworthy and recently took over the running of the Post Office at North Tawton which opens from 6am.

The opening hours have recently changed at the Crediton branch, which now opens Monday to Friday, from 8.45am to 5.30pm and Saturday from 8.45 to 1.30pm.
