TOMORROW, Saturday, March 18, the public is invited to visit a farm near Thorverton where lambing is in full flow.
Michael and Tina Ayre of Ratcliffe Farm, Thorverton (EX5 5PN) are holding a Lambing Day, where visitors will be able to visit the sheep shed and see the baby lambs and sheep at lambing time.
The event will run from 10am to 6pm and all are invited to attend.
However, children must be accompanied by an adult and no dogs are permitted.
Tina Ayre said that about 200 of their 500 pregnant sheep had given birth to-date, and visitors would be able to see many new-born lambs.
Mr Ayre said that there might also be a chance to see some of the farm’s cattle and a sow and her new litter of piglets.
He added that donations were being accepted, which would be split between Thorverton Church and Farming Community Network.
On Wednesday, children, parents and leaders from Thorverton Pre-School were given a preview at the farm and all greatly enjoyed their visit.
