CREDITON Foodbank celebrated National Foodbank Day on Friday, September 6 by unveiling its new website and branding.

The new digital platform, designed to improve accessibility and outreach, was generously donated and will be maintained by local digital marketing company, WSI Waverley Digital.

Mel Gard, Director of WSI Waverley Digital and a Trustee of Crediton Foodbank, expressed her excitement about the new launch: "This new website and brand reflect the vibrant and supportive community of Crediton and the surrounding Mid-Devon countryside.

“It's a tribute to the people we serve and a symbol of the unity that keeps our Foodbank running.

“We're proud to have a fresh, modern look that connects us even more with the people who rely on our services."

The new website at: www.creditonfoodbank.org.uk  will serve as a vital tool for the Foodbank to increase its reach and improve services, helping more local families in need.

The day wasn’t just about the digital transformation.

Volunteers and clients of the Foodbank were treated to a range of delicious cakes and snacks, generously donated by Eve Drover, owner of Cafe@100.

This thoughtful contribution added a sweet touch to the day’s celebrations and further highlighted the community spirit that sustains the Foodbank’s efforts.

Crediton Foodbank, which was founded in 2011, has been a lifeline for many local families, providing essential food supplies to those in need.

Remarkably, the Foodbank operates entirely on donations from the community, without any government funding.

In addition to food parcels, the Foodbank runs the Springboard Project, a programme aimed at helping clients break the cycle of debt.

Through a combination of signposting, advocacy, and personalised support, the project helps individuals access financial aid and long-term solutions to improve their circumstances.
