THERE will be a warm welcome when a new charity shop opens in the town at the end of August.

Devon Air Ambulance, a local charity dedicated to providing a vital life-saving service, is delighted to announce that plans to open a charity shop at 20 High Street, Crediton, are moving apace.

The premises, situated at the heart of Crediton High Street were formerly occupied by the charity, Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF), but this sadly closed a few months ago.

Pete Vallance, Head of Business Development at Devon Air Ambulance, said that the opening of the shop will mark an exciting milestone for the organisation and the local community.

He said that he welcomed the chance for the charity to increase its presence in the town, somewhere to offer a large range of items for sale.

He added that the sale of pre-loved items will support the circular economy, allowing others to reuse their no longer wanted possessions whilst raising money for the emergency medical service.

To further exemplify its commitment to sustainability and giving items a second chance, the charity retained some of the shop fittings left by the previous tenant in order to protect vital funds.
