THE Environment Agency is looking for two new members to join the South West Regional Flood and Coastal Committee (SWRFCC).

RFCCs are independent bodies working in partnership with the Environment Agency, local authorities and other stakeholders to deliver effective flood and coastal management strategies around the country.

The SWRFCC, covering Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, is recruiting two new general independent members.

Successful applicants will help guide flood and coastal erosion management across the South West, deciding local priorities, considering climate change impacts and approving programmes of work.

Philip Rees, South West RFCC Chair, said: “We cannot overlook the challenges that flooding, coastal erosion and climate change bring to our region.
