CHERITON Fitzpaine's Parish Hall Market was busy as usual, with customers perusing the many stalls and enjoying the food provided, all by volunteers from the Hall Committee.
The well-stocked cake table was presided over by Megan and Andy Richards, whose children, Millie, Ned and Hall were doing a roaring trade.
Millie and Ned are raising money to fund their school trip to Sri Lanka in July.
The trip consists of a community project, wildlife and trekking.
Along the way, they will learn about the geography, language, history and culture of Sri Lanka. They need to raise £500 and on Saturday, their stalls raised £300.
The Sale, which included a raffle presided over by Brenda Fowler, raised £400 for Hall funds.
The next event organised by the Hall Committee will be on Saturday, July 8, when there will be a Bacon Bap Breakfast and a display of photography. Meanwhile, the Hall, which has a large carpark and safe grassy area for children is available to hire: contact Mr Roy Clayton on 01363 866118 or email: [email protected] for further information.
