TWO burglaries occurred in a Mid Devon village during the early hours of Saturday, January 4.

It is believed that at around 4.30am, burglaries took place at two properties in the village of Down St Mary.

One house was entered and personal belongings and a car were stolen.

At the second address a van had a number of tools stolen.

Devon and Cornwall Police are investigating the incidents and an appeal has been issued for local residents to check security cameras, camera door bells and to pass on any information if they saw anything suspicious.
