FIREFIGHTERS from Crediton and Danes Castle, Exeter, used hydraulic cutting equipment to cut out a casualty from a car early this morning, Saturday, January 7.

Emergency services were called to the scene on the A377 just outside the town at 4.34am.

The crews confirmed that the person was still inside the vehicle upon their arrival.

Once extricated, the casualty was handed over to paramedics at the scene.

The fire crews left the scene at 5.41am.
