CREDITON police officers paid a friendly visit to Lapford Ark on Friday, February 28.

They answered queries, spoke with residents and signed people up to receive messages from Devon and Cornwall Alert, which the force uses to send warnings and other information.

“This was a great opportunity for us to link in with the local community,” Crediton PCSO Nicola Payne said.

“If you would like police to attend your community at a set time please do send us a message.

“We know it is tricky to get in touch sometimes and are happy to try and help with any issues (no matter how small) that people may feel they don't want to bother us with via telephone.

“We are here to help.”
