A BUS has crashed in Exeter Road, Crediton, which has resulted in the closure of the A377 from East Street to the Shell Garage.

The incident is believe to have happened at about 1.30pm today, Monday, October 14.

No-one has been injured and no other vehicle is involved.

The bus driver says he “misjudged” the road before the vehicle struck a wall.

The vehicle steering has been broken and recovery is expected, but this could be some time away.

Oil is leaking from the vehicle.

Police have put a road closure in place and are at the scene.

Traffic is advised to find alternative routes, notably using the Crediton Link Road, but are also advised that there are traffic lights on Jockey Hill.

There are some long traffic queues in the area.
