AN OPEN garden afternoon brought lovely sunshine after a day of rain the previous day and raised £211 for Redlands Surgery.

It was held at the home of Bert and Margaret Jewell in Golden Joy, Crediton last month.

The afternoon was organised by the League of Friends of Redlands Surgery, with lots of home made cakes and lovely cream teas.

David Dornom, from the League of Friends, said that the proceeds raised from the afternoon will go towards making patients experiences more enjoyable during their visits to the surgery.

The next fundraiser is a Meat Bingo on Wednesday, September 20 at Crediton Football Club at 7.30pm.
