Mid Devon's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a wait of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M5, from 9am July 18 2022 to 11.59pm August 29 2027, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 28 to 29 hard shoulder closure in both directions for parapet works.

And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 8pm September 16 to 8pm October 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 26 to 28 lane closures overnight, hard shoulder closures during the day. For resurfacing works.

M5, from 8pm September 16 to 8pm October 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 28 to 26 lane closures overnight, hard shoulder closure during the day. For resurfacing works.

M5, from 8pm September 17 to 6am September 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 27 exit slip road closure for resurfacing, diversion via M5 northbound to junction 26 and return.

A30, from 8pm September 25 to 6am September 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 westbound, Whiddon Down - lane closure for drainage works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
