JUDGING is currently underway at one of the south west's most prestigious ale festivals.

Maltingsfest,  which opened its doors in Newton Abbot today (Thursday April 20) is one of the most comprehensive festival of cast craft keg beers and lagers and local spirits. 

Brewers are hoping to pick up one of the many awards up for grabs as  these are great boost to a brewer’s marketing.

The event, organised by the Society of Independent Brewers in the South West, runs at Osborne Park until Saturday
