FIRE crews from North Tawton and Crediton attended a report of a telehandler on fire on at farm at Coldridge, at 1.12pm this afternoon, Thursday, April 21.

A water carrier from Danes Castle, Exeter, was also sent to the scene.

On arrival crews confirmed a small fire in the engine compartment of the telehandler.

Firefighters got to work with one jet to put out the fire and a thermal imaging camera to check that the fire was out.

The attendance of the water carrier was stood down before it arrived at the scene.

The cause of the fire was believed to be accidental.
